One of the school's all-time great special teams performers, Taylor led the Rattlers in punting three years in a row between 2005 and 2007, shattering the school single-season record with a 45.9 average which was tops in NCAA Division I FCS, earning All-America honors in the process. A three-time All-MEAC selection, Taylor excelled on kickoffs and placekicking. His performance in the 2006 Florida Classic will be forever remembered as his 43-yard field goal forced overtime, completing an improbable comeback for the Rattlers, who trailed 17-0 at one stage. Taylor then clinched the victory with his 25-yarder in the extra frame.
