One of the most accomplished student-athletes ever at Florida A&M University, Ulric Francis truly struck the perfect balance between academics and athletics.
Blessed with a passion for the business world, Francis pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, posting a sizzling 3.55 GPA leading to his degree in 1997. He wnt on to earn a Masters in Business Administration a year later, in 1998.
Francis pursued excellence as well on the golf course for the FAMU contingent, compiling a four-year average stroke average of 74.9.
As freshman, Francis finished first at the Grenelefe Invitational, highlighted by a pair of 73s in the first two rounds, then placed second at the Alabama State Invitational carding a 71 in the opening round, finishing the year with a 76.7 stroke average.
Francis began to hit his stride as a sophomore, recording six (6) top ten finishes and a 76.14 average for the year.
 He won four tournaments as a junior, shooting a 69 and 70 to win the Coca-Cola Minority Classic, closing the year as the top individual medalist at the National Minority Golf Championship, turning in a nifty 73.88 stroke average for the season.
Francis recorded six (6) more Top Five finishes as a senior, compiling a 73.22 average, shooting under par rounds nine (9) times, including four rounds under 70.
