Without a doubt one of the school’s most electrifying basketball players ever, Ware was a player who excelled on both ends of the floor.... Ware ranks 13th all-time at FAMU in scoring, with 1,382 points (12.5 average in 111 games) and 19th in career rebounding with 445 boards, good for a 5.4 per game average....
The Hastings, Florida native ranks 21st all-time in NCAA Division One history in career steals with a 2.74 average from 1984 through 1988.... In 1988, Ware led the nation in steals, averaging 4.9 steals per game, finishing his senior campaign with 142 steals in 30 games.... As a senior, Ware helped the Rattlers to a 22-8 finish - their best-ever record during their Division One Era, leading the club in scoring (19.5), rebounding (5.3), assists (4.0), steals and free throw percentage (.790, or 147 of 186).... He set a school record with 11 steals in one game against Tuskegee on February 24, 1988.....
