For over 35 years, this FAMU graduate has put his personality and varied talents to work on behalf of the university. From serving as the ever-popular and irrepressible “Voice of the Marching 100” Band, to his tireless and award-winning work in the entertainment industry in radio and music, Joe Bullard, like the FAMU Band, stands alone, serving as the school’s unofficial goodwill ambassador.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Bullard is a Distinguished Alumni of FAMU and has been honored by the Leon County Chapter of the National Alumni Association. His 40 years in the radio business included a 10-year stint as Southeastern region promotions manager for the Columbia/Sony Music Corporation. He also works extensively in the community, volunteering for nonprofit organizations.
