2013: Smalls recorded 39 total tackles (29 solos), with six (6) tackles for loss and and 1.5 quarterback sacks, one (1) recovered fumble and one quarterback hurry in 11 games… Had a season high nine (9) tackles against Savannah State (10-12-13), eight (8) stops against Howard University (10-19-13) and six (6) tackles against Morgan State (10-5-13)…He had 2.5 tackles for loss and one (1) sack against Savannah State (10-12-13)…
2012: Smalls saw action in nine games as he tallied 16 tackles (13 UA, 3 Asst), one tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry on the season. Small garnered a season high seven tackles against Hampton (9-15-12) and three against Tennessee State (9-1-12) and North Carolina A&T (11-3-12).
2011: Smalls was used sparingly last season as he saw action in two games garnered two tackles on special team.
High School: Smalls was a four-year letterman in football at South Cobb High School in Austell, Ga., where he finished his senior season with 123 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and five force fumbles, earning two-time Marietta News Defensive Player of the Week and was named the Marietta News Defensive Player of the Year. Also as the team’s leading tackler, he earned Second Team All-State and All-County honors.
He recorded a season high 19 tackles against Kennesaw Mountain his senior season and finished with a team high 91 tackles his junior season of play.
Personal: William Small IV was born on July 29, 1993 to Ms. April Doctor-Small. He has one sibling Alyse and is currently majoring in computer science.
