2014: Last season started on such a high note for Patrick Aiken, but it came to an abrupt end. After a touchdown saving interception in the second game of the season, the junior went down with an injury against the University of Miami. His season would be lost to a medical redshirt, but Aiken has worked himself back into the groove and looks to again be a force in the Rattler secondary.
2013: Aiken started all 12 games in 2013, leading the nation’s top-ranked pass defense with four (4) interceptions, highlighted by a 93-yard TD return against Samford (9-14-13)… He finished the season with 42 tackles (32 solos), with 4.5 tackles for 18 yards in losses, and one (1) quarterback sack, to go with three (3) pass breakups and one (1) blocked kick… He had a season high nine (9) tackles (seven solos) against Morgan State (10-5-13) and six (6) solo stops against Bethune-Cookman (11-23-13).
2012: Aiken saw action in 10 of the Rattlers 11 games as he finished the season with 27 total tackles (21 UA, 6 Asst), one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. He tallied a season high six tackles against Hampton (9-15-12), five against Oklahoma (9-8-12) and four against Bethune-Cookman (11-17-12). In addition, he posted three tackle performances against Savannah State (10-13-12), South Carolina State (10-20-12) and North Carolina Central (11-10-12).
2011: Aiken was used sparingly as he participated in four games on special teams collecting two tackles on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Aiken was an All-Broward County Team selection for Flanagan High….He recorded 54 tackles, 12 pass break-ups, two interceptions, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, three forced fumbles, and 326 yards in kick returns with two TDs his senior year of play….
