2013: Varnadore led the club in scoring once again with 35 points, making good on 23 of 26 point after touchdown kicks, while cashing in on four of seven (4-of-7) field goals, with a long boot of 41 yards in the season finale against Bethune-Cookman (11-23-13)…
2012: Varnadore had break out season or the Rattlers as he finished the season 15-of-18 in field goals with his longest field goal being for 46 yards. In addition, he connected on 23 PATs in 26 attempts for FAMU, ranking him first in the conference in field goals per game (1.36), second in scoring kicks per game (6.1) and eighth in PAT kicking percentage (88.0).
Varnadore tied the school record for most field goals in a game as he went a perfect five-for-five against North Carolina Central (11-10-12). Also, he connected on a 36-yard field goal to give the Rattlers a 22-21 win over the Eagles. Varnadore went a perfect three-for-three in field goals against Savannah State (10-13-12) and was two-for-two against Oklahoma (9-8-12).
2011: Varnadore was declared academically ineligible last season.
High School: Varnadore was four-sport athlete as he participated in football, baseball, soccer and track at Florida High School in Tallahassee, Fla. His senior season, Varnadore recorded 300 yards receiving to go along with six TD receptions, he was seven-for- 10 in field and garnered a 45.2 punting average, earning All-State and All-Big Bend honor and participated in the 2010 FACA All-Star game. Also, that season he scored 16 points in one game as scored one TD, one PAT, and three field goals.
In his junior season of play, Varnadore earned All-State honors as a punter as he finished the season six-for-eight in field goals and garnered a 42.7 punting average. As a sophomore, Varnadore finished the season 45-of-47 in PATs and six-for-10 in field goals.
Personal: Chase Varnadore was born on November 7, 1991 to Michelle and Arthur Varnadore in Tallahassee, Fla. He is currently majoring in Psychology and is a member of the New Mt. Zion AME Church.
