2010: Harvey finished as the team's sixth leading tackler as he garnered 43 tackles (27 UA, 16 Asst) in the 11 games he played in. In addition, he recorded 5.5 tackles for a loss of 10 yards, one forced fumble on the season and four pass breakups. He tallied a season-high seven tackles against South Carolina State (10-2-10) and recorded five take downs against Norfolk State (10-23-10) and Morgan State (10-30-10).
2009: Harvey finished as the team's third leading tackler with 46 (28 solos, 18 asst), one tackle for a loss of seven yards and four pass breakups at the safety position. Against Tennessee State, Harvey recorded a season high 11 tackles (6 solo, 5 asst) and tallied eight takedowns (6 solos, 2 asst) against Winston-Salem State (9-10-09).
2008: Harvey came on the scene as a free safety last season as he recorded 58 tackles ( 37 solo, 21 asst), had 2.5 tackles for a loss of six yards, recorded two fumble recoveries for 36 yards, one interception for a 35 yard return, along with three pass breakups. He tallied a career high 11 tackles (4 solo, 7 asst) and one tackle for a loss of a yard against Southern (10-18-08). He had an eight tackle (6 solo, 2 asst) performance against Delaware State (9-4-08). He also recorded an interception return for 35 yards against Morgan State (11-1-08).
High School: Harvey lettered in both track and football at Largo High School in Largo, Fla. He recorded 78 tackles, two pass breakups and had an 86-yard kickoff return in his senior season of play. Harvey was named the team captain and earned Second Team All-Pinellas and was selected to play in the Florida North vs. South All-Star game. He recalls his best performance in a game is which he recorded seven tackles, one forced fumble and an 86-yard kick off return.
Personal: Gregory Harvey, Jr., was born on November 29, 1988 to Tawanda and Gregory Harvey, Sr., in Largo, Fla. He has three siblings: Bryan Harvey, Ieisha McKnight and Antonio Smith. His brother Bryan is a member of the UCF football team. Harvey is currently majoring in Criminal Justice and enjoys playing video games, eating and watching TV in his spare time.
