Pierre Crawford comes to the Rattler basketball squad with the size and experience to add depth to the FAMU front line.  The junior from Eutaw, Alabama was All-State at Greene County high School.  He was also rated in te Top100 players in the state.  Greene County won the Class 3-A state championship his senior year (2010), under coach Rodney Wesley.

At Lawson State Junior College, he was rated top five in the state of Alabama.  His sophomore season he spent at Meridian Community College in Meridian, Miss.

He is the son of Howard and Linda Crawford.  All of his siblings played on the college level.  That includes brothers Howard Crawford and Antoine Pettway and sister Twanna Davis.

His hobbies include basketball, watching television, joking around and playing video games.

His motto: "Never let people make you who you are.  They will be with you when you are up, but nowhere to be found when you fall down."
