2009-10:  Crowder has become FAMU’s version of the Sultan of Swat averaging 8.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 30 games (29 starts).  In addition, he finished the season ranked third in the conference in offensive rebounds per game (2.7); seventh in blocked shots and 10th in blocked shots per game.  He recorded a season high 15 points against Maryland Eastern Shore (2-13-10),  scored 14 points against Stanford (11-21-09), and pumped in 13 points three times: against Bethune-Cookman (12-5-09),  North Carolina A&T (1-9-10)  and Winston-Salem State (2-27-10).   He pulled down a season high 14 boards against Florida International (12-3-09) and also tallied 11 rebounds against Delaware State (1-18-10) and Maryland Eastern Shore (2-13-10).   Crowder recorded a season high five blocks against Florida International (12-3-09) and batted away four shots against Florida (12-1-09).

2008-09:   Crowder saw action in all 31 of the Rattlers games, starting in 13 of them.  He finished the season averaging 4.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.    Crowder was a two time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week (12-15-09, 12-22-09).  He finished the season seventh in the MEAC in blocked shots per game (1.1 bpg);  15th in rebounds per game (5.2 rpg) and 15th in offensive rebounds per game (1.9).    Crowder recorded a double-double against Winston-Salem State (1-31-09) as he scored 13 points and pulled down 13 boards.  He pumped in 11 points against Bethune-Cookman (12-6-09) and dropped in 10 points against Morgan State (1-17-09).  Crowder also pulled down a season high 14 rebounds against Howard University.  He had three games on the season, where he recorded three blocks: against Morgan State (2-14-09), South Carolina State (2-2-09) and South Alabama (11-22-08). 
 
@High School:   Crowder lettered in basketball at Redan High School in Stone Mountain, Ga. He finished his senior season averaging eight points, 10 rebounds and 7.5 blocks per game.  Crowder set a school record for blocked shots in a game (18)  and blocked shots in season (211).  In addition, he was a member of the honor roll. Crowder’s best high school performance was when he recorded 17 blocked shots, pulled down 14 rebounds and scored 13 points in a game.

@Personal:  Yannick Marquise Crowder was born on August 26, 1990 to Tieniere Stringe and Walter Stringer in Stone Mountain, Ga.  He has two siblings,  Dewon Jackson (25) and Desmond McKibben (19).  He is currently majoring in finance.
