@ 2013-14: Rubin was the club’s #2 scorer a year ago, averaging 12.6 points per game, while averaging 4.6 rebounds in 31 games (30 starts)…She hit 54 shots from distance (151 attempts, .358), along with 55 assists and 38 steals… She also shot .823 (65 of 79) from the foul line…. Rubin had 22 games of double digit scoring, highlighted by 24 points at Hampton (12-7-13), 21 points against Troy (11-11-13), 19 against Tennessee State (11-17-13) and Savannah State (3-13-14), and 17 against Norfolk State (12-5-13), South Carolina State (1-18-14) and Delaware State (3-1014)… She had season high 10 rebounds (and 12 points) against South Carolina State (2-1-14), eight rebounds against Southern University (11-17-14), and seven boards against Tenenssee State (11-17-13) and Wake Forest (12-28-13)….
@Glendale Community College: Rubin finished her sophomore season at GCC averaging 16 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game earning First Team All-Region Division II honors and earned Second Team All-ACCAC honors. She recalls her best performance in a game was when she scored 28 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out three assists.
@High School: Rubin was a four-year letter winner in basketball at Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Ariz., where she missed her senior season with season ending injury.
In her junior season, Rubin averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds and two assists per game as she earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-South Arizona honors. In addition, she averaged 12 points, nine rebounds and one assists per game her sophomore season and eight points, and seven rebounds per game her freshman season.
@Personal: Taneka Rubin was born on September 15, 1993 to Yvette and Henry Rubin in Ramburg, Germany. She has three siblings LaQuandra, Elijah and Deborah. Rubin is currently majoring in Physical Therapy and enjoys eating good food in her spare time.
