JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Florida A&M track and field took to Hodges Stadium – the site of the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary Championships – for its final meet before the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships. The team left the two-day East Coast Relays (April 28-29) with 15 personal records and eight season bests.

 Throwers Kennedy Hill, Kobe Gibson, and Karen Odoemene wrapped action with Saturday's top performances. The former two shined in the discus event, respectively placing 12th (38.92 meters) and 13th (42.87 meters), while Odoemene finished 13th (49.76 meters) in the hammer throw. The showings captured PRs for the women.

Racing in at sixth, FAMU's 4x100 – Shaniya Berry, Teleda Williams, Zoe Hightower, Lauryn Hall – recorded another stellar outing, as did Brandon Love with a 14th-place effort in the men's 400 meters (47.87).

The 2023 SWAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for May 4-6. Prairie View A&M will serve as the host.
