Rattler Women Win with Fastest 4x1 of the Season

ATLANTA | Some leaped their farthest while others ran their fastest. The Florida A&M track and field team wrapped action at the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday (April 22) with several personal records and an event win in the women's 4x100 relay.

Shaniya Berry, Zoe Hightower, Lauryn Hall, and Teleda Williams joined forces for the Rattlers' fastest 4x1 of the season. The performance set the time to beat at 45.43 and was one of two podium finishes on the day. Williams notched the other, placing third in the 400-meter dash (54.43), where she and four others recorded a new PR.

Forrest Booker and Peter Sailsman also left George C. Griffin Track with collegiate bests. The former narrowly missed the "Top 3" in the triple jump with a 14.63-meter effort, while the latter finished fifth in the high jump (1.96 meters).

Florida A&M has one final regular season meet before the Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. Next week, the team is off to Jacksonville, Fla., for the East Coast Relays (April 28-29).
