2013: Morris had six (6) catches for 73 yards in 10 games as the starting tight end…. He had one (1) catch for 20 yards against Savannah State (10-12-13), and one for 13 against Morgan State (10-5-13).
2012: Morris was used sparingly in the 2012 season as he saw action in six games as a blocking fullback. In the annual orange and green game, Morris finished with three catches for 66 yards to go along with two TDs.
High School: Morris was a three sport letter winner as he lettered in basketball, football and track and field. He finished his senior season with 40 pancake blocks as he graded out a 89 percent on the season. Also, he participated in the Florida Shrine Bowl, and was a member of the Rotary Club Academic Team; recipient of the Thelma Pinkey scholarship as he graduated from high school with honors.
In his junior year, Morris won the Team Commitment Award for dedication in the classroom and on and off field performances and also earned the University of North Florida Academic Achievement Award.
Morris recalls his best high school performance was against Terry Parker High School as he recorded 10 pancake block, eight tackles and one sack.
Personal: Michael Anthony Morris was born on May 21, 1993 to Tangie and Michael Morris, Sr., in Durham, North Carolina. He has one sister Oliva and is a member of the youth ministries at Circle of Faith Ministries in Jacksonville, Fla. Also, he has recorded over 240 hours of community service at Police Athletic League. Morris is currently majoring in Physical Therapy and enjoys playing basketball and video games in his spare time.
