TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida A&M opened the Quinn Fordham Gray Sr. era with a 20-7 win over Albany State on Saturday evening.
The win improved Florida A&M's record to 1-0 on the season while the Golden Rams fell to 0-1.
The Rattlers won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing one turnover while avoiding any giveways, with Florida A&M turning that takeaway into three points.
Defensively, Florida A&M did an impressive job limiting the ASU offensive attack, holding the Golden Rams to 163 total yards. The Rattlers defense took up residence in ASU's backfield all game, piling up 10 sacks and 16 total tackles for loss.
