On Knowles: Set to lead the Rattlers from the quarterback position in his first season at Florida A&M…played for Rattler head coach Quinn Gray at Albany State in 2023, 2024, and 2025…in 26 career games at Albany State under Gray, Knowles recorded 5,585 passing yards as he completed 63 percent of his passes…his ability to command the field and deliver in key moments has made him a cornerstone of Albany State's success and a respected leader both on and off the field…enters his fourth collegiate season with 60 passing touchdowns while rushing for 577 yards total yards and 11 rushing touchdowns…in 2025, Knowles quarterbacked Albany State to the 36th-best scoring offense in Division II, as the Golden Rams won the SIAC title and were named the Black College Football National Champions…helped lead the Golden Rams to two SIAC championship game appearances (2023 and 2025)…Albany State won the SIAC championship in 2025… named as a 2025 finalist for the BIP Memorial Trophy, named in honor of Oliver "BIP" Joyce…named as a semifinalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy…the award is annually presented to college football's premier scholar-athlete by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame…the Campbell Trophy  recognizes the most outstanding quarterback from an HBCU each year…named one of 36 nominees for the prestigious 2025 Harlon Hill Trophy…the award is presented to the top player in NCAA Division II football…named to the 2025 Black College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List…the watch list recognizes the nation's top players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who have demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership, and impact on the field…Knowles was recognized as of of 49 of the most dynamic players in Black college football…as a graduate student, he participated in FAMU’s Pro Day on March 26, 2026.
 
At Albany State (2025): Named as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season…an All-SIAC First Team selection for the first time in his career…his play helped the Golden Rams advance to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs…orchestrated Albany State's high-powered offense, which led the SIAC in total offense, scoring, and passing efficiency…led the Golden Rams to a 12-2 overall record which included a 10-game winning streak during the season…the 12 wins Albany State during the 2025 season marked the most in a single season in the history of the Golden Rams’ program…the Golden Rams’ starter in in two of their three NCAA Division II Championship games with starting assignments coming against Valdosta State (35-20, Nov. 22, 2025) and Bendict College (14-12, Nov. 29, 2025)…was a combined 43 of 66 (.651 percent) for 508 yards passing and 97 yards rushing in the two playoff victories for the Golden Rams…was responsible for five touchdowns in the two victories - three against Valdosta State (two passing and 1 rushing) and two against Benedict (one rushing and one passing) in leading the Rams to the NCAA Division II Championship regional finals for the first time in school history…the two wins over Valdosta State and Bendict marked the first time in school history the Golden Rams had won two NCAA Championship playoff games in the same season…was 24 of 37 for 264 yards and three total touchdowns (two passing and one rushing) in Albany State’s 35-30 win over Valdosta…his 22-yard touchdown pass to Jamill Williams with 4:17 remaining to play in the game gave the Golden Rams their margin of victory…was 19 of 29 for 244 yards and two total touchdowns (one passing and one rushing) in Albany State’s 14-12 victory over Benedict in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs…it was Knowles on a quarterback keeper with 7:41 remaining in the game that gave the Golden Rams their winning margin…his rushing touchdown came to complete a seven-play, 89-yard drive which resulted in the game-winning score to advance the Golden Rams to the regional final round of the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time in school history…completed 13 of 21 passes for 182 yards in Albany’s 22-16 win over Benedict in the SIAC Championship game…the championship marked the second conference championship during Knowles’ three seasons at Albany State…Albany fell to Newberry State in the national semifinals without the services of Knowles who was forced to miss the game with an injury…Was 17-of-31 for 201 passing yards and one touchdown for Albany State against FAMU in Tallahassee (Sept. 13, 2025) in a 33-25 win for the Rattlers.
 
At Albany State (2024): Named as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year…earned All-SIAC Second-Team honors…named as the HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW on Oct. 9, 2024…completed 15 of 26 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns as Alban State capped off their season with a thrilling victory over Fort Valley State in the 34th annual Fountain City Classic…totaled a career-high tying six touchdown passes at Morehouse (Oct. 19, 2024) and at Allen (Oct. 5, 2024) as he led the SIAC with a career-high 32 touchdown passes…ranked second in the SIAC in completions (190, a career-high), second in attempts (289, career-high), second in completion percentage (.657, career-high), passing yards (2,555, career-high), and second in passing efficiency (171.0, career-high)…was outstanding in Albany’s victory over Allen University, completing 15-of-20 passes for 372 yards and six touchdowns in the first half without a single interception…his efforts powered the Golden Rams to a 57-17 to the win with two of his touchdown passes covering 78 and 41 yards…four or more touchdown passes in five different games -- six at Morehouse, six at Allen, four at Shaw (Sept. 7, 2024), four at Central State (OH) (Sept. 21, 2024), and four at Savannah State (Nov. 2, 2024)…top two career completion rates of .769 (20 of 26) against Shaw (Sept. 7, 2024) and at Allen (.750, 15 of 20) at Allen (Oct. 5, 2024).
 
At Albany State (2023): Appeared in six games in his first season a Albany State…totaled 879 passing yards, 216 rushing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, while completing 75 of 127 passes (.591)…only three interceptions on 127 pass attempts…recorded a season-high 71 rushing yards and four passing touchdowns against Kentucky State…registered 245 total passing yards with a long for 58 yards against Morehouse…totaled 48 yards rushing in the SIAC championship game against Benedict…earned hist first three victories as a starter in wins over Morehouse (20 of 30, 245 yards, 3 touchdowns), Savannah State (17 of 34, 208 yards, 1 touchdown), and Kentucky State (14 of 19, 208 yards, 4 touchdowns) in consecutive weeks to propel the Golden Rams to three of their six wins on the season…One of five career games with a completion percentage of above 70 percent (.737, 14 of 19) at Kentucky State (Sept. 30, 2023) in 49-21 win for the Golden Rams.
 
At U.S Naval Academy (2022): A member of the team but did not play in any games…Navy finished with a 4-8 record and fell to Army 20-17 in double overtime in the annual Army/Navy game in M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
 
At Naval Academy Prep (2021): Attended the Naval Academy Prep School but did not play football because the season was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.
 
High School: Graduated from Seffner High School in Seffner, Fla. In 2020…a two-sport star who earned varsity letters in both football and basketball…a two-time (2018, 2019) First-Team All-State (Fla.) and All-County in selection in football...graduated as the Seffner Christian’s all-time record holder (game, season, career) in all passing categories - yards, touchdowns, attempts, completions, completion pct., and quarterback rating.. threw for 7,126 yards as he completed .573 percent of his passes (455 of 794) as a prep star in his four years on the varsity team…threw for more than 2,000 yards as both a junior (128-199, 2,160) and senior (146-277, 2,174)…totaled 91 touchdown passes, including 58 during his final two seasons ... three-year (2017, 2018, 2019) football team captain...led Seffner Christian to back-to-back district titles in 2018 and 2019, while also claiming the regional championship  region title in 2019... led Seffner Christian to the state semifinals as a senior in 2020.
 
Personal: Born July 30, 2002…the son of Linda and Chuck Knowles…mother, Linda, is a 1993 graduate of East Carolina where she was a member of the volleyball team…his mom also play volleyball at UNC Charlotte…member of the National Honor Society…also received offers from eight other schools, including Army and Southern Miss...major is interdisciplinary studies.
