LORMAN, Miss. -- Kieren Jackson and Corey Petty each racked up more than 100 receiving yards Saturday afternoon, but Florida A&M fell 38-20 on the road at Alcorn State.
The Braves improved to 6-4 on the year and 4-2 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, while the Rattlers fell to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in conference matchups.
Armond Parker led Florida A&M's passing attack with 283 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception.
Jamal Hailey led all Rattlers rushers with 45 yards in the contest, picking up 5 yards per carry. Chase Gillespie also added 38 yards on the ground.
Jackson, who had four catches for 133 yards and one touchdown and Corey Petty, who added nine grabs for 100 yards and one touchdown, led the way in the pass-catching department for Florida A&M.
Anthony Baxter led the Florida A&M defensive effort, collecting 0.5 TFL, one interception, and one recovered fumble. Team added and Denzel Johnson had 16 tackles and 1.0 TFL in the loss.
The Rattlers won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing two turnovers while coughing the ball up one time, with Florida A&M turning those takeaways into seven points.

Florida A&M got on the scoreboard first and took a 7-0 lead with 10:15 remaining in the first quarter.Another Rattlers score then expanded the lead to 14-0.
After Alcorn State took a 17-14 lead, Florida A&M responded with a field goal to tie it up at 17-17.Alcorn State fought back to take a 24-17 lead, but the Rattlers scored again to close the gap and make it a 24-20 game. Florida A&M didn't score again in the game and Alcorn State added 14 more points to finish off the scoring.
