On Johnson: An outstanding linebacker who is in his first season at Florida A&M after a very successful two season career at Alabama State…has blocked two punts in his career…blocked punts came against Miles (Sept. 7, 2024) and against Jackson State (Nov. 16, 2024).
At Alabama State (2025): Appeared in all 12 games for the Hornets, making seven starts on the season...finished the year with 50 tackles (fourth on the team), including 28 solo tackles and 22 assists...added 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and an interception...earned SWAC Defensive POTW Honors after his 11 tackle, one interception performance at Prairie View A&M (Nov. 1)...had eight tackles against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 22)...played a pivotal role in the Black Swarm defense continuing its dominance atop the SWAC, ranking among the top teams in eight major statistical categories: interceptions, 15 (SWAC No. 1), pass defense, 180.5 yards per game allowed (SWAC No. 2), opponent pass completion percentage, 56.9 (SWAC No. 2), interception return yards, 141 (SWAC No. #1), total defense, 359.4 yards allowed per game (SWAC No. 6), scoring defense, 24.3 PPG (SWAC No. 4). opponent quarterback pass efficiency , 111.4 (SWAC No. 2), and opponent yards per play, 5.3 (SWAC tied for third).
At Alabama State (2024): Played in nine games in the secondary and on special teams...recorded 16 tackles, three QB hurries, and one pass break up...blocked two kicks on special teams, ranking 2nd in the SWAC and 6th in the FCS stats...recorded a season-high four tackles against Samford...blocked kicks against Miles (punt) and Jackson State (punt)...the Black SWARM defense was one of the top defenses in the SWAC, ranking first or second in the SWAC in nine categories and the top 10 in the FSC in 10 categories…the defense did not allow a touchdown over the last 9 quarters of the season.
High School: Graduated from Chaminade Madonna High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. in 2024...record 118 tackles with 12.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and one interception his senior year...earned four letters in football and track and field...helped Chaminade Madonna to three state championships.
