Daniel Richardson and Michael Oppong earned SWAC honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– Florida A&M had a big win in their home opener, defeating South Carolina State 22-18. Quarterback Daniel Richardson and defensive back Michael Oppong earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) honors following their performances in the win.

Daniel Richardson - Offensive Player of the Week
Richardson led the Rattlers in a 22-18 comeback victory versus the South Carolina State Bulldogs after being down 18-7 in the fourth quarter. Richardson led the Rattlers with 282 passing yards and three touchdowns. Richardson also had 14 rushing yards.

Michael Oppong - Defensive Player of the Week
Oppong was an impact player for the Dark Cloud Defense, finishing with three tackles, two tackles for loss, and two pass breakups in the 22-18 win versus South Carolina State.
