HERO Sports: Three Rattlers are SWAC Best Position Returners

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– The Celebration Bowl Champions look to repeat and have three of the best returners in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) as HERO Sports ranked Kendall Bohler, James Ash, and Ashton Grable the best at their position.
 
Bohler made HERO Sports' best FCS returning cornerback, as he was ranked the seventh-best cornerback in the nation and the best in the SWAC. Bohler finished 2023 with 39 tackles, 14 pass breakups, and an interception in the Celebration Bowl. Bohler was named to the All-SWAC First Team, BOXTOROW All-American, Aeneas Williams Award Finalist, Bruce Feldman Freak List member, and was on the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List.
 
Ash made HERO Sports' best FCS returning defensive tackles, as he was ranked the 19th-best defensive tackle in the nation and the best in the SWAC. Ash finished 2023 with 32 tackles, six tackles for loss, and an interception. Ash was named to Phil Steele's All-SWAC Fourth Team in 2023.
 
Grable was named HERO Sports' best returning SWAC interior offensive lineman. Grable started all 11 games (seven at left tackle, four at right guard) and allowed two sacks this season on 370 pass-blocking attempts. Responsible for 22 'dominator blocks,11 knockdown blocks, and two cut blocks. Grable recorded a PFF grade of 70.1 in pass protection, including three games with a grade higher than 85.0. Grable was the most versatile and athletic offensive lineman for the Rattlers in 2023, providing physicality in all phases of the game. Grable was named to the All-SWAC Second Team in 2023.
