Sprinters Highlight Day One of FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Remaining in-town for their second outdoor meet of the season, Florida A&M sprinters highlighted the first day of competition at the FSU Relays (March 23). The Rattlers faced stiff competition from athletes at Florida State, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Southern Mississippi, and Auburn and three placed 'Top 5.'
 
Lauryn Hall won her heat and finished fourth overall in the women's 200-meter dash with a personal record of 23.95. Dajon Clark captured the program's top finish of the day, a third-place effort in the same event (21.45), while Robert Hampton crossed the finish line in sixth (21.96) and Brandon Love shortly thereafter for seventh (22.07). 
 
Of the Rattlers' other top performances, Karen Odoemene also recorded a collegiate best with a 49.35-meter hammer throw in her second attempt. She placed sixth in a 12-person field. 
 
Florida A&M continues action in the FSU Relays Friday.
