TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida A&M University track and field program made a statement at the University of South Florida Alumni Invitational, as the Rattlers produced a wave of personal records and one historic relay performance that signals a program trending sharply upward.

The women's 4x100-meter relay team stole the show, shattering the program's school record with a time of 43.85 seconds. Janaree Kinchen, Diandrenique Gaines, Arayana Ladson and Kiersten Clark combined to rewrite FAMU history in one of the meet's marquee events.

Kinchen was a force throughout the day individually as well, capturing the 100-meter championship with a personal-record time of 11.42 seconds before turning around to post a 23.70 in the 200 meters — a performance that affirmed her status as one of the Rattlers' most dynamic athletes on the track.

The distance corps delivered across the board on the women's side. Tara Bert led the group with a personal-record 1,500-meter effort of 4:33.32, while Jaade McBride was not far behind, setting a PR of her own at 4:52.72. McBride also competed in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:15.51. Leandra Ferrell added another PR to FAMU's tally, clocking 4:54.99 in the 1,500 meters, and Niya Coleman contributed a personal-best 5:06.48 in the same event.

In the sprints and hurdles, the Rattlers continued to pile up milestones. Arayana Ladson turned in a personal-record 13.29 in the 100-meter hurdles, while Ty'yanah Adams posted a PR of her own at 13.36 in the same event. Zekira Snow rounded out the field events with a personal-record leap of 5.86 meters in the long jump.
On the men's side, Ezekiel Salama delivered a standout performance in the hammer throw, recording a personal record of 57.32 meters to close out a productive meet for the Rattlers.

The performances collectively represent one of FAMU's most productive single-meet outings of the outdoor season, with the program showing depth across sprints, hurdles, distance and field events simultaneously.
