3/21/2023 7:28:00 AM

What: FSU Relays
When: March 23-24
Where: Mike Long Track | Tallahassee, Fla.

Florida A&M track and field won't have to travel far for its next meet as an invitation to participate in the FSU Relays keeps the program in-town March 23-24. In addition to the host Florida State, the field also includes Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Southern Miss, and Syracuse.

The Last Outing
FAMU took to JAX Track at Hodges Stadium, the site for the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary, for its first outdoor meet (March 16-17), where it captured first-place performances by Lauryn Hall (100 meters), Jaydon Sanford (110-meter hurdles), Forrest Booker (triple jump), and Dajon Clark (long jump).

Several of the efforts currently rank 'Top 5" on the Southwestern Athletic Conference's 2023 Outdoor Performance List.

The 'Top 48' student-athletes in the east will qualify for the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary (May 24-27). A season ago, the Rattlers sent Rachel Robertson and Jaylyn Scott to the first-round meet, where they respectively competed in the triple jump and 400-meter hurdles. Robertson went on to punch her ticket to the 2022 NCAA Track & Field Championships to mark back-to-back seasons with FAMU representation at the national meet. Will the Orange and Green make it three straight?
