2010:
Dixon started in 53 of the Lady Rattlers' 54 games as
she compiled a .341 batting average with 57 hits in 167 attempts, scoring 36
runs, while driving in 17.
She
finished the season with seven doubles, seven triples and three homeruns,
ranking her fifth in the nations in triples and eighth in triples per game
(0.13), reaping First-Team All-MEAC honors.
Dixon recorded three-hit performances against
Villanova (2-19-10), Central Florida (2-21-10),
Norfolk State (4-11-10),
South Carolina State (5-8-10).
UCF 2009:
Dixon started in 20 of the 30 games that she played
in at UCF her freshman year.
She
finished the season batting .172 with 10 hits in 58 at-bats, scoring 10 runs
with three RBIs.
Dixon stole
one base and finished the season with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
High School:
Dixon was a three-sport athlete at
J.W. Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, Fla., as she lettered in
softball, weightlifting and track.
She was a first team all-state selection in softball and was an
all-conference selection in softball and weightlifting.
Dixon was named to her high school’s
all-academic team as well a member of the honor roll.
In her junior season of competition, Dixon was a first team
all-county selection and was all-suncoast honorable mentions team in
softball.
Personal:
Tenisha Dixon was born on November 10,
1989 to Regenia and Dexter Dixon in Jacksonville, N.C. She has one sister,
Tiaianna Washington.
She enjoys
singing, and playing computer games in her spare time and is currently majoring
in Communications.
