High School:   Lopez lettered in both basketball and softball at Miami Springs Senior High School in Miami Springs, Fla.,  She earned All-Conference honorable mention her senior year and was a candidate for the Silver Knight Award at her high school.     In addition, she earned the Principal’s Honor Award and was a member of the honor roll.

 

Her Junior season,  Lopez earned All-Conference honorable mentions.

 

Personal:   Genesis Lopez was born on September 19, 1991 to Marta and Ernesto Lopez in Miami, Fla.  She has an younger brother, Scott, and she is currently majoring in General Studies.
