TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --The Florida A&M Rattlers fell 3-2 in a nine-inning matchup to the Marshall Thundering Herd Tuesday.
At the plate, the Rattlers were led by Amari Brown, who went 2-for-4 on the day with a double and an RBI. Jamison Townsend furnished a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Ciara Maple also chipped in for Florida A&M, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rattlers got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the bottom the first inning with the game still scoreless. Florida A&M scored twice in the inning on run-scoring doubles from Townsend and Brown. FAMU unable to hold the lead, as Marshall scored three times over the remaining eight innings to grab the 3-2 win.
