TALLAHASSEE, FL --The Florida A&M volleyball team totaled 11 blocks on the way to a three-set win (25-13, 25-20, 25-10) against the UAPB Lady Lions Friday at home at Lawson Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium.
The victory moved the Rattlers record to 10-9 overall and 5-1 in SWAC play.
LaDonna Trantham finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Rattlers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .273. got 9 digs from Victoria Santana along with seven blocks from Tamia Coleman to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Rattlers earned a set-one victory 25-13 thanks to a solid performance on the attacking end. Florida A&M registered a .375 attack percentage with 13 kills in the set victory. The Rattlers ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza.
SET 2 | Florida A&M carried momentum from a set-one win by earning a 25-20 victory in the second set. The Rattlers led from the opening point on in the set to secure the victory. Florida A&M opened its biggest lead of the stanza, five points, to finish off the set.
SET 3 | Florida A&M then ended the match with a victory in set number three. The Rattlers grabbed control of the set early when the score was 4-3 and held the lead the rest of the way to win 25-10. Florida A&M ended on a strong note, opening up its biggest lead of the stanza, 15 points, to close out the set. The Florida A&M offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza. Florida A&M's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking seven UAPB attacks in the stanza.
