On Farooq: One of the top players in the SWAC for 2026 who has helped lead Florida A&M to SWAC championships in both 2024 and 2025…a transfer student-athlete from East Carolina who is playing in her third season as a Rattler (2024 and 2025).
At Florida A&M (2025): Helped lead Florida A&M to its second consecutive SWAC Tournament championship as she earned All-SWAC Second-Team and All-SWAC Tournament team honors…played in 115 sets across 31 matches…her 115 matches played was just one shy of her playing in all 116 sets during the 2025 season for the Rattlers…led the team in hitting percentage (.391), blocks (120), solo blocks (25), block assists (95) and blocks per set (1.04)…led the SWAC in hitting percentage (.391) and total blocks (120), while ranking eighth in total points scored (355.5)…career-high hitting percentage of .750 against Mississippi Valley State (12 kills on 16 attempts)…a hitting percentage over .500 in eight games…finished with an above .500 hitting against Hampton (four of five, .600) (Aug. 29), vs. Queens (NC) (12 of 19, .579) (Sept. 6), against West Virginia (seven of 12) (Sept. 18), against Prairie View A&M (11 of 16) (Oct. 20), against Arkansas Pine Bluff (five of nine, .556) (Oct. 26), Alabama A&M (15 of 21, .667) (Nov. 2), Mississippi Valley State (12 of 16, .750) (Nov. 14), Alabama A&M (10 of 17, .588) (Nov, 22)…her career-high of 19 kills came against Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 7)…double-figure kills came 11 times against Queens (N.C) College (12) (Sept. 6), Jacksonville State (11) (Sept. 19), Alabama A&M (Oct. 5), Prairie View A&M (11) (Oct. 20), Grambling (13) (Oct. 27), Alabama A&M (15) (Nov. 2), Bethune-Cookman (19) (Nov. 7), Mississippi Valley State (12) (Nov. 14), at Prairie View A&M (12) (Nov. 21), Alabama A&M (12) (Nov. 22), and Southern (14) (Nov. 23)…her career-high of nine blocks came against Maryland Eastern Shore (one sole and eight assisted) and Queens (N.C.) College (two solo and seven assisted)…eight total blocks (four solo and for assisted) came against Grambling State (Oct. 27)…21 total blocks (seven in each game of the 2025 SWAC Tournament) with seven (three solo and four assisted) against Prairie View A&M in the quarterfinals, seven (three solo and four assisted) against Alabama A&M in the semifinals, and seven (two solo and five assisted) in the championship game against Southern in the championship finals…five or more total blocked shots in 14 of 31 games…averaged 11.5 points scored per game with her career-high of 21.5 points coming against Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 7)…totaled 20.5 points against Alabama A&M (Oct. 5)…double-figure points came in 19 of 31 games.
At Florida A&M (2024): Led the Rattlers to the SWAC tournament championship…helped Florida A&M to co-regular season championship of the SWAC in her first season at Florida A&M…saw action in 74 sets across 28 matches…finished the season with 101 kills (one of five Rattlers to record at least 100 kills)…recorded at least five kills in 12 matches including a season-high seven versus Jacksonville State (Sept. 21), Alcorn (Oct. 14) and Alabama State (Nov. 1)…totaled 52 blocks, 29 digs, and 14 service aces…totaled a season-high five blocks (one solo and four assisted) against Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 8)…a season-high 2 solo blocks at Jackson State (Sept. 27), against Southern (Oct. 13), at Prairie View A&M (Oct. 18), and against Jackson State (Nov. 15)…a season-high four assisted blocks came against New Orleans (Sept. 6), at Alabama State, and at Bethune-Cookman…earned 28 digs with her season-high of three coming in four different games at Jackson State (Sept. 27), against Southern (Oct. 13), against Alcorn (Oct. 14), and against Grambling (Oct. 28)…totaled 14 service aces with her season-high of two each coming at Jackson State, at Texas Southern (Oct. 20), against Grambling, at Alabama State, and at Bethune-Cookman…at least one service ace in nine different games.
At East Carolina (2023): Played in 96 sets over 31 matches as a freshman at East Carolina…recorded 121 kills, 88 blocks…finished fourth on team with 197.5 points…totaled season highs in kills (10), blocks (six), digs (four) and hitting percentage (.833) against Appalachian State (Sept. 2)…Posted five kills and three solo blocks in the sweep of UNC Greensboro (Aug. 25).
High School: Graduated from Episcopal High School in 2023…played four years of varsity volleyball at Episcopal High School…recognized as a top 150 player in the 2023 recruiting class by Prep Volleyball…totaled 366 kills and 84 blocks her senior season…named the team MVP and Greater Houston Private School Player of Athe Year honors…led the Knights to a 37-5 overall record and 9-0 district mark…helped Episcopal to the 2019 and 2022 Southwest Preparatory Conference titles…named to the AVCA All-American Watch List in 2022 as well as the GHVCA preseason and postseason teams.
