JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --The Florida A&M volleyball team fell to West Virginia in three sets (14-25, 14-25, 26-28). 

The non-conference loss dropped Florida A&M to 2-7 on the season. 

Iyonnie Sanford finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Rattlers offense. Florida A&M got eight digs from Ruxandra Flueras to lead them defensively.

How It Happened 

SET 1 | The Rattlers found themselves in an early deficit, dropping a tough first set 25-14. Florida A&M trailed by as many as 11 points as West Virginia grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was notted up two times before the Mountaineers took control. 

SET 2 | A 25-14 second-set loss put Florida A&M in a 2-0 hole in the match. Florida A&M trailed by as many as 10 points as West Virginia grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Mountaineers took over the lead. 

SET 3 | Florida A&M could not win set three and was swept by West Virginia. The Rattlers fell in a tight set, losing 28-26 in a stanza that was tied six times and had three lead changes.
