TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --The Florida A&M volleyball team lost Saturday as the Georgia State Panthers posted a four set (19-25, 25-19, 10-25, 14-25) victory at the Lawson Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium.

The non-conference defeat dropped Florida A&M to 2-6 on the season.

Ladonna Trantham finished with 14 kills on the day to lead the Rattler offense.Trantham also pitched in with five in the contest. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Ruxandra Flueras had 17 and Iyonnie Sanford had 10.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Rattlers found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-19. Florida A&M trailed by as many as six points as Georgia State never gave up the lead in a set that was tied up two times before the Panthers took control.

SET 2 | Florida A&M fought back after dropping the first set to take set two 25-19, tying the match at 1-1. Strong serving helped the Rattlerettes grab the set win. Florida A&M totaled five aces in the set win. The Rattlers rallied from down six at 10-4 to claim the win. Florida A&M's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Georgia State attacks in the stanza.

SET 3 | Georgia State responded to win set number three, putting Florida A&M in a two sets to one hole. The Rattlers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-10.

SET 4 | Florida A&M then fell in the fourth set 25-14 to finish off the match. The Rattlers fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before losing the set.
