Florida A&M falls to Tarleton State 78-54

STEPHENVILLE, Texas --Jordan Chatman and Antonio Baker combined to score 33 total points, but the Rattlers fell to the Tarleton State Texans 78-54 on the road Friday.

The Rattlers (3-6) had two players score in double figures, led by Chatman, who had 17 points and two steals. Baker tacked on 16 points and Anquan Boldin Jr. added seven points and four steals.

Florida A&M did a great job disrupting Tarleton State shots in the contest, coming away with five blocks. Kaleb Washington led the way individually for the Rattlers with two rejections.

How It Happened

Florida A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 49-35 heading into halftime.

Tarleton State kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 70-39 advantage before Florida A&M went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Chatman's three, to shrink the deficit to 70-46 with 7:19 to go in the contest. The Rattlers were unable to cut further into the deficit by the end of the game, losing 78-54. Florida A&M got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 10 of its 19 total points.
