TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --The Florida A&M men's basketball team out-rebounded the Jacksonville Dolphins 32-29 on the way to a 72-65 victory at home Wednesday. It's the program's first win against an NCAA Division I team this season.
The Rattlers (3-5) had four players score in double figures, led by Antonio Baker, who had 17 points and three steals. Tyler Shirley added 15 points and six rebounds and Jaquan Sanders chipped in as well with 13 points.
Florida A&M grabbed 32 rebounds in Wednesday's game compared to Jacksonville's 29, led by Miles Ndalama's six boards.
How It Happened
After jumping out to a 21-16 advantage, Florida A&M went on a 9-0 run with 10:22 left in the first half to increase its lead to 30-16. The Rattlers then maintained that lead and entered halftime with a 47-33 advantage.
The Rattlers then held on for the victory in the second half. Florida A&M got out on the break in the period, scoring five fast break points.
