TAMPA, Fla. --The Florida A&M men's basketball team came up short in a 102-67 loss to the South Florida Bulls on the road Monday.
The Rattlers (0-1) had three players score in double figures, led by Micah Octave, who had 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Tyler Shirley added 14 points and three steals and Jordan Chatman helped out with 11 points.
Led by Octave's four offensive rebounds, Florida A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 11 boards that resulted in 14 second chance points.
Florida A&M did a great job disrupting South Florida shots in the contest, coming away with five blocks. Kaleb Washington led the way individually for the Rattlers with three rejections.

Florida A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 47-33 heading into halftime.
