MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Florida A&M volleyball team battled hard on the road Friday at Lockhart Gymnasium against Alabama State.
Despite the setback, the Rattlers continue to show growth and resilience, with standout performances on both sides of the ball. Sydney Whitfield powered the offense with eight kills, while Bengisu Kazazlar anchored the defense with a team-high 10 digs.
Florida A&M now sits at 3-11 overall and 1-2 in SWAC play as they look to build momentum moving forward in conference action.

SET 2 | Alabama State built momentum in the second set to take a 2-0 lead in the match, but the Rattlers continued to compete and search for answers. After an early tie, Florida A&M kept pushing to stay in rhythm and looked to regroup for the following set.
SET 3 | Alabama State closed out the match with a narrow third-set win, 25-20. The Rattlers showed resilience throughout the frame, battling through and keeping the score close until the Lady Hornets pulled ahead late.
