LORMAN, Miss. -- The Florida A&M volleyball team dominated on defense with 10 total blocks, powering a three-set sweep over Alcorn State on the road at the Davey L. Whitney Health & Physical Education Complex. The notable victory comes at the perfect time, serving as a strong momentum boost and the ideal way to kick off Homecoming Week.Â
The Rattlers' offense was led by Ladonna Trantham, who dominated with 16 kills and a strong .343 hitting percentage, while Sydney Whitfield added 10 kills at a .316 clip. On the defensive end, Victoria Santana anchored the back row with 15 digs, and Tamia Coleman stood tall at the net with six key blocks to round out a well-balanced team performance.Â
