Rattler Track & Field Continues to Stack Wins

The Rattlers recorded five wins during day one of the RADD Sports College Invitational.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 24) | Competing in the long jump for the first time in their collegiate career, Arayana Ladson topped a 22-person field – highlighting one of five first-place performances recorded by the Florida A&M track and field team on the opening day of the RADD Sports College Invitational. 
 
The Rattlers swept both the men's and women's LJ events, with Ladson leaping 5.71 meters (18' 8¾") and Dajon Clark 7.20 meters (23' 7½"). Additional successes included William Shelton's first-place effort in the 400 (48.94), Paul Rowden's win in the high jump (2.05m (6' 8¾"), and Alesia Douglas' triumph in the 1000 (3:02.79). Douglas was also the fastest collegiate athlete in the women's 400, racing in at 55.85 for second place. 
 
The Rattlers crowned day one with 13 podium finishes. Day two of the RADD Sports College Invitational begins Saturday at 10 a.m.
