LAFAYETTE, La. (Sept. 20) | The Florida A&M volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking 3-2 decision to Louisiana Saturday night. 

The Rattlers' offense was paced by Iyonnie Sanford, Brooke Lynn Watts, and Brookelynn Thomas who respectively recorded 16, 16, and 14 kills. The team also saw three finish with double-digit digs: Tinons Galmés (27), Alexandra Koleva (16), and Jada Rhodes (10). Defensive highlights also saw Kalia Todd tally eight blocks. 
 
The Ragin' Cajuns Classic concludes Saturday; FAMU is scheduled to face Jacksonville State at noon. 
 
SET ONE | Galmes' ace provided the Rattlers a 6-3 advantage, and they maintained their lead until late in the set. There were 11 ties in the match, and things sat at 23-all before the Ragin' Cajuns recorded a kill and an ace. 
 
SET TWO | The second set was riddled with errors on both sides, and neither team was able to gain much separation, but a 6-0 Rattler run helped FAMU win the set. 
 
SET THREE | Louisiana commanded an early lead and were up by as many as seven points. 
 
SET FOUR | A Galmes ace helped Florida A&M to its first lead (17-16) since opening 1-0. The visitors distanced themselves with a 3-0 run.  
 
SET FIVE | Sanford recorded three straight kills to push the Rattlers ahead 6-4 for their final lead of the set.
