LAKE CHARLES, La. | The wins continued to stack up for the Florida A&M volleyball team in a 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-18) decision over Incarnate Word Friday (Sept. 13). The Rattlers (6-2) have now posted five consecutive wins, and the latest kicked off their time in McNeese State's Cowgirl Invitational. 

Game Notes 

» Jada Rhodes and Brooke Lynn Watts both notched double-doubles; Rhodes recorded 11 kills and 17 digs while Watts respectively totaled 18 and 10.
» Tinons Galmés finished with a match-high 28 digs. 
» Alexandra Koleva tallied a match-high five aces. 
» Florida A&M never trailed on the way to winning the third set, 25-16.

SET ONE | The Cardinals commanded an early 8-2 advantage that was quickly narrowed to 13-10. FAMU pulled as close as two points during the set – 16-14 on a Watts' kill – and it was the closest differential the rest of the set. 

SET TWO | There were 13 ties and three lead changes in the set, and neither team was able to separate by more than two points. Rhodes recorded two of the Rattlers' final three kills en route to the 25-22 win. 

SET THREE | Florida A&M scored first and never trailed, claiming its largest lead at nine points to close out the set. 

SET FOUR | The Rattlers seized control at 6-5 and maintained their advantage the rest of the way. Their offense was bolstered by three aces, while their defense shined, blocking five Incarnate Word attacks.

The Rattlers' appearance in the Cowgirl Invitational resumes Saturday in a 1 p.m. match against the tournament host.
