BATON ROUGE, La. (May 3) | Another day, another medal for Breanna Brown-Marshall. The Florida A&M senior has now swept the high jump titles at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships, with the latest gold medal coming by way of a 1.80-meter leap. Brown-Marshall also broke the SWAC's women's championship record in the HJ event; her new season's best catapulted her five spots on the NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifying List. She currently ranks 25th in the country.
Niya Coleman will also leave Louisiana with a medal after finishing third in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase. So far, after two days of action, the Rattlers have one gold medal and three bronze. On day one, Peter Sailsman and Brown-Marshall each placed third in the long jump finals.
