Jackson collects 4 hits in Florida A&M's 17-7 victory against Grambling

ATLANTA, Ga. --Senior Ty Jackson racked up four hits to help power the Florida A&M Rattlers past the Grambling Tigers 17-7 on Thursday.

Freshman Carson Kelly (8-3) got the win for Florida A&M (29-25). Kelly went five innings, giving up five runs, all of them earned, on six hits, allowing one walk and striking out four.

In addition to his four hits, Jackson had a double, two walks and four RBI to lead the Rattlers. Sophomore Broedy Poppell compiled a standout day at the dish as well, going 1-for-4 with a home run, two walks and three RBI. Senior Adam Haidermota also helped out for Florida A&M, putting together three hits in three trips to the plate while adding two walks and two RBI.

The Rattlers scored in six different innings on the way to victory. Florida A&M broke a 0-0 tie and took the lead for good at 1-0 in the second inning on a senior Jalen Niles walk from Charles Jackson that scored senior Joseph Pierini.
