HUNTSVILLE, AL --Sophomore Kayla Aldridge collected four RBIs to help lead the Florida A&M Rattlers over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 12-1 on Saturday.
Junior Samantha Smith got the win for Florida A&M (5-13, 1-0). The right-hander went five innings, giving up one run on two hits, allowing two walks and striking out six.
Aldridge went 1-for-1 in addition to her four RBIs for the Rattlers. Junior Tatianna Davis furnished a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Smith also chipped in for Florida A&M, putting together one hit in one trip to the plate while adding a walk and two RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rattlers put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Junior Kayla Alexandre came across to score the lone run of the inning for Florida A&M and get them on the board.
