Rattlers travel to Jackson for challenging weekend series

JACKSON, Miss. –– Florida A&M softball travels to Jackson, Mississippi, looking to extend their seven-game win streak and add to their perfect 6-0 conference record as they play a tough Jackson State (16-7, 4-1) team.

The Rattlers enter the game atop the SWAC East standings at 6-0, with Jackson State in third at 4-1. Both teams enter the game on a winning streak, as the Rattlers won their last seven games. The Tigers won their last four games, including three straight SWAC games.

The Rattlers enter the weekend after earning the SWAC Hitter and Co-Pitcher of the week in Nyah Morgan and Zoryana Hughes.

The Rattlers enter the weekend with the second-best batting average (.390) in conference play. They also ranked third in hits (64) and runs scored (51). Defensively, the Rattlers possess the best ERA (0.78), have given up the least amount of runs (6), and have the lowest opponent batting average (.200). Also, the Rattlers have allowed the second-lowest hits (26).

The first game is scheduled for Friday, March 22, at 1 p.m. Eastern. The Rattlers will play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m. Eastern.
