TALLAHASSEE, FL --Senior Nyomi Jones collected four hits to help propel the Florida A&M RattlersĀ past the Jacksonville Dolphins 5-2 on Saturday.
Junior Samantha Smith (2-6) got the win for Florida A&M (3-12). The right-hander went four innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on four hits. Freshman Zoryana Hughes also pitched well, going three shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking one and striking out four.
In addition to her four hits, Jones had a home run and two RBI to lead the Rattlers. Junior Brianna Duggins furnished a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Smith also helped out for Florida A&M, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a triple.

The Rattlers got on the scoreboard first, starting in the third inning. Jones put Florida A&M on the board with a one-out solo home run off freshman Skylar Waggoner.
