Smith dominant for Florida A&M in shutout victory against Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –– Samantha Smith was dealing on Sunday, throwing a four-hit shutout to lead the Florida A&M Rattlers over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 7-0.

Smith (4-6) went the distance for Florida A&M (7-13, 3-0), giving up four hits, walking two and striking out nine.

Smith led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 3-for-4 in the ballgame with two doubles and an RBI. Amaya Gainer put together a standout day at the plate as well, going 2-for-5 with an RBI. Aniya Canty also contributed, going 1-for-1 for Florida A&M with two RBI.
