MACON, Ga. --Despite picking up eight hits in the ballgame and out-hitting Mercer, Florida A&M was unable to push across more runs, as the Rattlers lost to the Bears 4-3 Tuesday.
Senior Dallas Tease (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Florida A&M (4-4). Junior Cody Williams was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 2.1 shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking one and striking out three.
Junior Jakoby Stanley led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 1-for-4 in the ballgame with a double and two RBI. Senior Sebastian Greico provided a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. Senior Ty Jackson also contributed, going 2-for-4 for Florida A&M.

Trailing 4-0, the Rattlers first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Florida A&M plated two runs off of Mercer pitching, one of which was driven in on a run-scoring double off the bat of Stanley.
The Rattlers kept the deficit at 4-2 before closing the gap further in the seventh. Junior Janmikell Bastardo came across to score the lone run of the inning for Florida A&M, which brought the score to 4-3 in favor of the Bears. The Rattlers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
