MONTGOMERY, Ala. --Senior Nyah Morgan went 1-for-3 with a double for the Florida A&M Rattlers in a 6-1 loss to the Grambling Tigers on Thursday.
Junior Samantha Smith (1-6) got the ball to start for Florida A&M (1-12) and took the loss. The right-hander went 2.2 shutout innings on one hit, allowing no walks and striking out two.
Morgan led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a double. Junior Kayla Alexandre provided a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a double.
