TALLAHASSEE, FL --Senior Tre Simmons, junior Tanner Walker and junior Cody Williams combined to throw a shutout on Sunday as the Florida A&M Rattlers blanked the Eastern Illinois Panthers 4-0.
Simmons (1-0) started and picked up the win for Florida A&M (2-0), going five shutout innings while giving up one hit, walking two, and striking out six. Williams was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going 1.1 shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two.
Junior Jakoby Stanley led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a double and two RBI. Junior Janmikell Bastardo compiled a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-4 with a double. Senior Sebastian Greico also helped out, going 1-for-3 for Florida A&M with an RBI.

The Rattlers took the lead for good in the second, scoring for the first time in the inning. Florida A&M scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Stanley.
The Rattlers also added a run in the fifth inning to complete their scoring in the ballgame.
