TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --Sophomore Brooke Bowling, senior Georgeanna Barefoot and senior Leah Powell combined to throw a shutout on Saturday as the Charlotte 49ers blanked the Florida A&M Rattlers 8-0.
Junior Samantha Smith (0-2) got the ball to start for Florida A&M (0-4) and took the loss.
Junior Kiauna Watson led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame.
