CHARLESTON, S.C. | Florida A&M volleyball spoiled Charleston Southern's tournament opener Friday night with a 3-1 victory over the Buccaneer Invitational host (17-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-21). Three Rattlers finished with double-digit kills, led by Iyonnie Sanford's career-high 12. The outing marked the second time in as many matches that a freshman guided the FAMU offense as Shelby Chamblin posted a career-high 22 in the team's 3-2 loss to The Citadel earlier in the day.
FAMU will wrap up action in Charleston with a 10 a.m. match versus South Carolina State on Saturday.

SET 2 | Florida A&M fired back from a first set loss to take set two 25-15. The Rattlers led from the first point, and, at one point, maintained an 11-point advantage.
SET 3 | There were three earlier lead changes; however, FAMU never trailed after claiming a 9-8 edge.
SET 4 | The Rattlers' momentum poured into the fourth. They totaled 15 kills in the set and were their most productive with a .419 hitting percentage.
