FAMU XC Continues Season at Mountain Dew Classic

The Rattlers will compete Friday at Florida’s Mountain Dew Invitational.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M's cross-country program continues its season in the University of Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 15).

The women will compete in a three-mile race at 8:20 a.m. Committed teams include Embry-Riddle, FIU, Flagler, Florida, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida Southern, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Florida, South Florida, Stetson, Tampa, UT Chattanooga, and Vanderbilt.  

The Last Meet
The Rattlers opened their 2023 season at the TCC Open (Sept. 8), placing second overall in the four-team field behind Florida State. Freshmen Sierra Barrera and Niya Coleman were the first to cross the finish line at third and fifth, respectively.

Barrera became the first Rattler to garner accolades from the Southwestern Athletic Conference this season when she was named Runner of the Week (Sept. 13).
